I kind of think of Enya as the New Age equivalent of AC/DC - just puttin' out the same album year after year. That's not necessarily a bad thing but it does mean that I don't feel compelled to collect each and every Enya album (or AC/DC album for that matter). Enya doesn't change or evolve her sound any. She's pretty much stays in that New Agey roughly Celtic inspired "cathedral of sound" style that she's been doing since...what? '89 or so. Anyway, I like this little collection because it's got all the songs a casual fan would like. It's even got "On My Way Home" which I think is one of the most beautiful songs ever. Though this usually ends up being more "background" music or "chill out" music than it does something you can jam to in the car. Yeah... there's no "jamming" to Enya... only drowsing.
Useless Fact: "Paint the Sky With Stars" is the only new track on this collection. You'd probably never know that unless someone told you. You're welcome.
